Access Denied to SMB shares with FPolicy configuration

Hi,

I have configured NetApp FPolicy on a SVM. The FPolicy server I have developed is a synchronous server. It gets open and read requests from NetApp for offline files. After configuration of FPolicy everything looks good and access to files and directories work. But after few weeks when I try to access a share that resides on the SVM, I am getting access denied “You do not have permissions to access \\ip\share-name”.

However NetApp is not sending any requests to the FPolicy server I have developed. I checked fpolicy.log on NetApp and it didn't have any requests being sent to my FPolicy server. Also when I disable FPolicy on the SVM, the problem is resolved and I am able to access the share.

Why am I getting access errors while trying to access SMB shares with FPolicy configured? Is this some known NetApp bug or are there other NetApp logs that can help me in identifying the problem?

Thanks for your help!
